Grandfather Praise

Lord, as if you weren't good enough
in giving me children who bring joy to my heart,
who bless me
and impress me
(and in giving them loves that bless me, too),
you have given me SUCH a grandson!

Oh, God, what health,
what beauty,
what charm,
determination,
intelligence,
acuity,
personality,
strength,
and promise
you have brought into my life.
I give you all the praise
I can summon
from this grateful grandfather's heart.
