I Preach Today, Lord

I preach today, Lord.

Let me do so, please,
with passion,
and warmth.

Awaken my own heart
that I may awaken others'.

Speak to me
and then speak through me.

Move in me
and then move through me.

Grant me the eye of faith,
a heart of compassion,
a sharp mind,
and the joy of one
who sees you work
and rejoices to have
humbly played his part,
in Jesus' name, amen.
