Lord, these days it seems that the whole world is in convulsions. You know the issues, you know why so many in Hong Kong, Iran, Lebanon, and Iraq have taken to the streets to call for change, for basic necessities, for freedoms that I take for granted. Lord, please have mercy. Save men, women, and children from persecution and oppression, from injury, imprisonment, and death. Supply the miracle it will take for people in those places (and others) to bring about real and lasting change. Let wisdom prevail. Let peace win. Let freedom prevail. In Jesus' name, amen.
