for the gift of my grandchild,
growing in my daughter's womb.

Thank you for the miracle
of human gestation,
for your careful attention
to the formation of his (or her)
organs and limbs
and body and mind.

Thank you for the blessing
of knowing that
you already know her (or him)!

Thank you for Calleigh's (or Cayden's) parents,
for bringing them together,
for forming a family
already ready
to receive this priceless life.
