The Prayer

I pray you’ll be our eyes
And watch us where we go
And help us to be wise
In times when we don’t know.

Let this be our prayer
When we lose our way:
Lead us to a place,
Guide us with your grace,
To a place where we’ll be safe.

I pray we’ll find your light
And hold it in our hearts,
And stars go out each night,
Remind us where you are.

When shadows fill our day:
Lead us to a place,
Guide us with your grace,
Give us faith so we’ll be safe.

A world where pain and sorrow will be ended,
And every heart that’s broken will be mended,
And we’ll remember we are all God’s children
Reaching out to touch you,
Reaching to the sky.

We ask that life be kind,
And watch us from above,
We hope each soul will find
Another soul to love.
