Shut

Lord, you shut the mouths of lions for Daniel.
Shut their mouths for me, too.
Shut the mouth of my adversary.
Shut the mouth of my tempter.
Shut the mouth of the faithless.
Shut the mouth of the cruel,
the cynic,
the jealous,
the bitter,
the abuser,
the liar.
Shut the mouths of all those
who would lead me astray,
tempt me to evil,
and drown out your voice
or distract me from you,
in Jesus' name, amen.
