Lord Jesus, I have not done well as a pastor
in ministering to people with all kinds of dysfunctions.
Make me like you, please,
who healed every disease.
Help me to better care for those
with narcissistic tendencies.
Help me not to avoid those
with borderline personality disorder.
Help me to be patient with those
suffering under the weight of bipolar disorder.
And more.
Help me not to alienate
or dismiss
or give up
on even those with the most severe dysfunctions,
nor even to favor those
who share my own dysfunctions,
amen.
