A Prayer on Maundy Thursday
Lord,
wash,
not my feet only,
but also
my hands
and
my head.
And
my heart.
And
my mind.
And
my life.
Amen.
I've been praying a variation of your prayer for over a year now. It's especially helpful during insomnia. I've experimented with adding other words life soul and spirit, but they don't add much. Here's how I've memorized it:
Jesus, If you must wash my feet wash also my hands wash also my head wash also my heart wash also my mind wash also my life.
