To Love Itself
You
who are love itself,
give me
the grace of love,
give me
yourself,
so that all my days
may finally empty
into the one day
of your eternal life.
Thanks so much for this prayer which came to my inbox today. A day when along with this prayer was an update from my friend and Pastor whose father is recuperating from bowel surgery re cancer and a subsequent heart attack. How good it was for my attention to be drawn from "...all my days" to "...the one day of your eternal life". I appreciate the encouragement of these prayers and they help me to encourage others. Last year I started a group called "Praying for our Pastor" and this mornings update went out to them. Often your prayers are forwarded to others to help them. Larry Boyce
