I have a deadline, a goal,
and I have fallen behind.
I will keep working,
inspiration or no inspiration.
I will keep plodding,
and try not to stress.
I will do my best
to let you do all the planning and plotting
while I simply follow along,
step by step,
word by word,
line by line,
page by painstaking page,
until the momentum shifts,
the floodgates open,
and words flow like streams in April,
amen.
