A Prayer of One Set Free

Almighty God, thank you for setting me free from my past. Thank you that I have been set free from sin and have become a slave to righteousness (Romans 6:18). Thank you for freeing me from the guilt and shame and punishment my sins deserve, apart from the salvation that is mine in Christ. Thank you that I am no longer subject to judgment and condemnation, but am free to live, breathe, trust, serve, and rejoice through faith in the One who suffered outside the city walls to make me holy through his own blood (Hebrews 13:12). In Jesus’ name, amen.

(a prayer from The Bible 30-Day Experience Guidebook by Bob Hostetler)
