Oh, Lord God Adonai,if you had not been on my side
when people attacked,
when anger flared,
I would certainly have been
swallowed alive;
depression would have won the day,
discouragement would have ruined me,
and the devil would have been victorious.
But praise be to God!
You did not abandon me.
You delivered me from the snare,
and the traps that were laid for me.
And you proved once more:
My help is in the name of the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
Amen.
